Fresh Iced Tea, The Great Thirst Quencher!
Aunt Teresa loves her Iced Tea. This one will impress you and your friends! Great taste and easy to make.
Steps
Boil 8 cups of water in a large pot.
Remove the pot from heat and add 4-6 tea bags, depending on how strong you like your tea. Steep for 3-5 minutes, depending on the type of tea you're using and your desired strength.
Remove the tea bags and discard. If you're using loose leaf tea, strain the tea through a fine-mesh strainer to remove any leaves.
Stir in sugar or sweetener, if desired. Adjust the sweetness to your taste preference.
How to make
Allow the tea to cool to room temperature, then refrigerate until chilled.
When ready to serve, fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the tea over the ice.
Garnish with lemon slices or mint leaves, if desired.
Tips:
If you want to add flavor to your iced tea, try adding some fresh fruit slices, such as lemon or peach, to the tea while it's steeping. To make a large batch of iced tea, simply adjust the quantities of the ingredients accordingly. For a stronger tea flavor, use more tea bags or add loose leaf tea to the water. If you prefer unsweetened tea, simply omit the sugar or sweetener.
